Arif Wijaya Hambali

Arif joined AHP in 2018. Prior to Prior to joining AHP, he spent the early stage of his career in another corporate law firm in Jakarta, working mainly on merger and acquisition transactions and general corporate advisories. Currently, Arif deepens his knowledge and experience by focusing more on merger and acquisition transactions and general corporate matters.

Since joining AHP, he has gained invaluable experience from handling Indonesian and foreign investors in their merger and acquisition transactions, which involving on multiple drafting and research matters that has given him more understanding on the law and business practices. He also involved in advising clients across a wide range of sectors, including establishment of foreign direct investment companies, multi finance companies and IT companies.

Arif earned his bachelor’s degree in Law from Atma Jaya Catholic University in 2016 with summa cum laude honours.

Transaction Experiences

  • Represented ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (CTC), a Japanese multinational IT services company, in its acquisition of 70% shares in each of PT Nusantara Compnet Integrator and PT Pro Sistimatika Automasi. (2019)
  • Acted as the Indonesian legal counsel of a Singapore-based investor in the acquisition of Jakarta based multi finance company (on going). (names of parties are confidential)
  • Acted as the Indonesian legal counsel to a Singapore-based investment holding company in its proposed shares acquisition of a Malaysia-based cosmetic company with an Indonesian subsidiary (this transaction was aborted). (2018)
  • Assisted a PRC based industrial estate company in the establishment of foreign direct investment company focusing on industrial estate management. (2019) (names of client are confidential)
  • Represented a Japan based company on the sale of its 12.52% shares in an Indonesian manufacturer of furniture components company. (2018)
