Simon is a highly experienced legal practitioner with a focus on arbitration, investment law, banking, and major infrastructure and construction projects. He is dual-qualified to serve as both counsel and arbitrator, and brings a wealth of experience to complex, high-value disputes and cross-border advisory mandates.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), Simon has acted in numerous international and domestic arbitrations under Indonesian and English law. His track record spans a broad spectrum of arbitration forums, including UNCITRAL, ICC, SIAC, LCIA, CAS, and BANI, where he has consistently demonstrated deep technical insight and strategic clarity.
In addition to his arbitration practice, Simon has represented both States and investors in contentious investment treaty proceedings, and is frequently engaged by public and private sector clients on matters involving strategic infrastructure, energy, and regulatory compliance. His advice is regularly sought on issues that require a sophisticated understanding of public-private dynamics and international legal frameworks.
Simon also serves on a government-appointed investment task force, where he advises on legal risks and policy implications of national budget allocations.
