Assegaf Hamzah & Partners (AHP) is pleased to announce that it acted as legal counsel to the shareholders of PT Trans Maritim Pratama and PT Bahari Segara Maritim in connection with the successful completion of the acquisition of majority ownership interests in both companies by PT Geo Energy Maritim (“Geo Energy Maritim”), an affiliate of Geo Energy Resources Limited and a key entity within the Geo Energy Group. The transaction closed on 8 January 2026.
Under the transaction, Geo Energy Maritim acquired a 51% equity interest in each of the two companies for a total consideration of USD 127.5 million.
This strategic acquisition supports Geo Energy Group's objective of enhancing its integrated logistics capabilities, while enabling PT Trans Maritim Pratama and PT Bahari Segara Maritim to further expand their market presence and operational reach. As well established and operationally ready logistics platforms, both companies will contribute to Geo Energy Group's development of a more robust and efficient end-to-end logistics ecosystem.
