We are proud to announce that AHP has advised the Joint Lead Underwriters (Bank of China (Hong Kong), HSBC, and Standard Chartered Bank) on the Republic of Indonesia’s inaugural CNH-denominated (Dim Sum) bond issuance, with a total value of CNH6 billion. The transaction attracted strong demand from both international and onshore Chinese investors, resulting in a final order book of CNH18 billion. This reflects the market’s confidence in Indonesia’s solid economic fundamentals and fiscal credibility.
This milestone issuance marks Indonesia’s successful debut in the offshore Renminbi bond market and underscores the Government of Indonesia’s commitment to diversifying its funding sources and expanding its global investor base, particularly among Chinese investors.
The AHP team was led by Managing Partner Ahmad Fikri Assegaf and Partner Renaldi Zulkarnain, supported by Associate Bintang Setiadi Pratama and Foreign Associate Dawn Zhou.
This Dim Sum bond issuance completes our support to the Government of Indonesia across its global funding program for the year, following earlier USD, Euro, and Sukuk offerings. It also highlights AHP’s ongoing commitment to supporting Indonesia’s sovereign financing strategy.
